NOTES: Thomas Logan as the father of my ggg-grandmother Isabella Logan has not been confirmed, but there are to many points of comparisian to ignore. Isabellas hand written "journal," which reflected the spellings of her siblings names also can not be ignored.

ISABELLA LOGAN

Isabella LOGAN, [My ggg-grandmother], born abt 1799-1800 in South Carolina. Was married to Richard FORD in Warren Cty., TN. abt 1814.

NOTE: Isabella was very young according to her age at the date of marriage compared to date of birth.

Rsearch on my LOGAN line has been the most difficult of all my surnames.

This information is several years old: New information has just came to my attention, thanks to a cousin in Abilene, Texas. He found an old journal and copied information about Isabella LOGAN and Richard FORD. This journal listed her siblings and listed a speculation to the relationship of another LOGAN. This journal has subsequently disappeared from the library [a great loss to our LOGAN family].


Additional information has come to light from cousin Jackie KOGAN. Hers is probable the most significant so far. SO I want to thank her very much for helping farther the enroads into the LOGAN family tree.

NOTE: The spelling in the journal was "Marquerite." I listed the other spellings as possible variations. Remember; I recieved a copy of only one page of the journal, and it was faded. It was the one listing Isabella, her siblings and her husbands name. This was what prompted my cousin to send the page to me. But, the journal had disappeared before a return trip to copy the entire journal could be made.

I could not determine the relationship of Anthony to Isabella from the single page. There was some speculation between myself and the person who discouvered the journal, as to this individual being an ancestor of Isabella and her siblings.

Anthony LOGAN who was wounded during the American Revolution (1776 date of American Revolution) was also listed in the journal along with the above siblings of Isabella - relationship unknown.

More information about Isabella:When my gggg-grandfather George FORD and his son Richard FORD relocated to Warren Co. TN. The LOGAN's from Mecklenburg Co., NC. followed along. Richard married Isabella LOGAN daughter of Thomas LOGAN. Young Thomas LOGAN also followed, as he also followed them to Benton Co., AR. where he located in the Washington Co. just south of Benton Co.There are many points of comparison that match under Thomas. My ggg-grandmother Isabella LOGAN's sister was Margueritte LOGAN, her brother's were Young Thomas LOGAN, John LOGAN and Robert Drury LOGAN, other siblings I could not decipher from the journal. I got these names from a hand written journal in the Houston, TX Library. An interesting point is that the name Margueritte appears through out the family in succeeding generations.
