
John ROBINS Jr., born c. 1750 in Orange Cty., Virginia, died (?) in Franklin Cty., Tennessee. He married Elizabeth DOGAN in c. 1771 in Orange Cty., Virginia.
NOTES on John ROBINS Jr.:"June 10, 1790 - John Robins was bondsman for the marriage bond between Samuel Dogan and Sarah Herndon in Wilkes Co., NC. He moved with his family to Franklin Co., GA sometime between 1799-1804, either accompanying James and Nancy [Robins] Sartain, or joining them after their migration. He sold a slave in Franklin Co., GA on Jan. 5, 1804 (Steele). He bought land there in 1806 on Gragg's creek, adjacent to land he already owned (according to land deed records). Marriage: Abt. 1771, Orange Co., VA or Culpepper Co., VA.
On April 11, 1811 John Robins Jr. and wife Elizabeth sold the 400 acres in Franklin Co. GA on Gragg's Creek for $900, and moved to Franklin Co., TN, Again following James Sartain and his wife Nancy Ann [Robins], their daughter.
His 1812 Franklin Co., TN will ("Wills 1080-1816," p. 7) lists his wife, Elizabeth and names his son Samuel who is to receive his land after Elizabeth's death. His daughter Elvira Robins is also named, and other children are referred to but not named individually. There is a photocopy of this will available.
