RIDERS OF THE CIMARRON & CHERKOEE LIGHTHORSE AWARDS

"Age of the Gunfighters - 3rd Place World Champions - 2002"

The Cherokee Lighthorse & Rider's of the Cimarron was at the time of this award cross members with other Oklahoma Gunfighter groups that do Historical Theatrical re-enacting. Some of the awards are cross awards for several groups. We went to Cowtown and "The Age of the Gunfighters 2002," for a visit in 2002, and were asked to join the gunfighter competion. We faught under the name Riders of the Cimarron & Cherokee Lighthorse.

Award for "Best Historical Cow Camp"

This year at "The Age of the Gunfighters 2003," we did not place in the gunfighter competion, but as the only historical Cow Camp, I must say that all the members there did an excellent job of a historical interpretive cow camp, we recieved three awards; a plaque, a certificate and a hand forged iron coffee pot turner for the campfire.

Masheli Robins, recieved the award for the "Best Old West Costume, 2002 Shidler, Oklahoma."

Jim Robins, alias: Arkansas Jack recieved the award for the "Best Old West Costume," and Historically accurate Cowboy of the 2003 Shidler's Tallgrass Rendezvous, Shidler, Oklahoma."

1st Place Trophy for most Historically correct Living History Group

Riders of the Cimarron won 1st place among a field of four groups at the Annual Gun Show at Fort Worth, Texas.

2nd Place Trophy for Best Old West Historical Interpretation - Pedroe Pistole

George Rodriquez, alias Pedro Pisto won 2nd Place at Fort Worth, Texas.

2nd Place Trophy for Best Other Historical Interpretation - Carrie Nations

Pam Rodriquez, alias Carrie Nations won 2nd Place at Fort Worth, Texas.
