Benjamin J. AHL, Jr., born 15 Mar 1786 in Virginia, died on 26 Jun 1866 in McMinn Cty., Tenessee.
Spouse: Lucy SWEENY/SWEENEY/MacSWEENEY, born on 9 Sep 1788 in Virginia, died on 4 Mar 1857 in McMinn Cty., Tennessee.

Notes on Benjamin: Buried in Methodist and Baptist Church Cemetary, Calhoun, McMinn Cty., Tenessee. His tombstone reads; "Willing to the LORD's call without fear. Kind to mother. A loving Father. Sind by F.B. AHL." According to Bledsoe Cty. records, Benjamin and his brother John were both in Bledsoe Cty., Tenessee by 1830; Benjamin moved to McMinn Cty., Tennessee by 1840 and her remained there the rest of his life. He was a farmer by profession and wrote his last will and testiment on Christmas 1865, which named his children as his heirs. The will is recorded in the McMinn Cty., Will Book.

ref: 1830, 1840, 1850, and 1860 census records for McMinn Cty., Tenessee. The 1850 census also lists the AHL's. The 1860 census mis-spell's the AHL surname as [ASH].
