Some re-enactments are scheduled on an annual bases such as the Battle of Round Mountain in Yale, Oklahoma. Others are scheduled for ether; on even years or every third year. Though the Territorial Indians were promised that they would not be used outside the Indian Territory. Obviously they were. Several engagements occured in Arkansas.
We of the 1st Cherokee Mounted Rifles participate in re-enactments of the battles that occured in Oklahoma, north western Arkansas, Missouri and northern Texas.
